The Great Bake Off- Review HT 09.12.06
Market Cafe at Khan Market held
the Great Bake Off on 6-7 Dec'06 to raise funds for Cansupport. The hands
on baking workshop taught students some scrumptious recipes for cream puffs,
cheese cakes,low-fat scones and various breads.The workshop was conducted by
Turkish born Hanife who is also an advanced practise nurse in Oncology with an
uncanny talent for rustling up goodies. She says " I love baking and this was a
great opportunity to do something I love for a good cause.The event was organised by Harmala
Gupta president of Cansupport and Lina Malas, a Cansupport volunteer. Says
Madhushree Birla owner of Market Cafe, "When Lina told us about the bake-off we
jumped at the opportunity . Its like killing two birds with one
stone....organising a great cooking class and contributing to a good
cause."If you happen to miss the bake off
this time , don't fret. Thanks to the overwhelming response, Madhushree hopes to
have a similar event in March next year.
